IRON GATE GORGE
Not only that you will see the famous 13th-century Golubac fortress when entering the Đerdap National Park, but there are also numerous monuments along the Danube river that were built by the Roman Emperor Trajan in the 1st century AD. The river is now a natural border between Serbia and Romania but it was once a serious obstacle for ancient Romans to cross over to Dacian Empire.
So, this digital brochure will bring you a list of things to see along the Iron Gate gorge. It will provide the information you need in order to get to know the surroundings and a few interesting data about its rich history.
